A driver will be waiting to collect you at Muscat International Airport when you arrive. They will take you to
a hotel in Muscat City where you will spend the night.
Muscat- Wadi Tiwi- Sur – Ras Al Jinz
Discover Muscat, the jewel of the Arabian Sea. Walk through the detailed and colourful halls of the Sultan Qaboos
Grand Mosque, sample the curiosities at Mutrah Souq, and explore the rare and fascinating artifacts of the Bait Al
Zubair Museum.
Finish the visit by stopping outside the vibrant Al Alam Palace in the Old City of Muscat.
Overnight stay at a hotel in Muscat.
This day is dedicated to Oman’s rich cultural heritage. Begin the day by visiting Nizwa Fort and its formidable
circular keep. After visiting the fort and the nearby traditional market, your guide will take you to the
UNESCO World Heritage Site of Bahla Fort.
Finish off the day with a visit to Jabreen Castle to appreciate the
finer side of Omani architecture.
Spend a day in the cool air of the mountains. On the way to Jebel Ahkdar, your guide will take you to the
village of Birkat Al Mawz with its ingenious irrigation system.
Afterwards, you will be taken up through Wadi
Muyadin to the Sayq Plateau where the local people produce all manner of exotic fruits and vegetables on
terraced farms.
No trip to Oman would be complete without an excursion into waves of red and white sand that are the
Wahiba Sands. Before heading into the desert to watch the sunset, your guide will take you to Wadi Bani
Khalid for a session of swimming and relaxation.
The desert adventure would be completed with a night
under the desert sky.
Drive out of the desert in the morning and head to the coastal city of Sur. There you will visit the traditional
boatyards where carpenters continue to produce boats using techniques that are hundreds of years old.
In the afternoon, you will check into a guesthouse in Sur before going for a night-time encounter with the
majestic sea turtles at Ras Al Jinz.
In the morning head to the valley villages of Wadi Tiwi and admire their lush gardens.
Before visiting Bimmah Sinkhole, your guide will bring you to Wadi Shab for some hiking and swimming. Be sure to explore
the hidden cave with the waterfall at the end of the Wadi.
At the end of the day, you will be brought back to Muscat for the night.

A driver will come to your hotel in Muscat to bring you to Muscat International Airport for your departing
flight. Before you go, don’t forget to have a last snack on some tasty Omani dates!

The Wadi Shab waterfall can only be accessed by swimming through deep water in a cave. It is not recommended for people who suffer from claustrophobia or have weak swimming abilities.
Conservative swim wear is needed in Wadi Bani Khalid (covering shoulders and knees). A good idea is to wear a t- shirt and pair of shorts on top of your swimming costume.
Please note that there is a cattle market at the Friday Market in Nizwa. If your dates coincide with the Cattle Market on Day 3, Day 4, or Day 5, visiting the market can be arranged.
The Sultan Qaboos Grand Mosque is closed to visitors on Fridays. In the event that your Half Day Tour begins on a Friday, arrangements will be made to see the mosque on the following day in the morning.
Modest clothing must be worn when visiting the Sultan Qaboos Grand Mosque. Men must wear long sleeved shirts and trousers. Ladies must be fully covered (including head, arms, shoulders, knees and ankles). Abayas can be rented in the reception area at entrance of the mosque.
The Sur Boatyards are closed on Fridays. Should Day 6 fall on a Friday, arrangements will be made to visit the boatyards on the following day (Day 7).
